Natalie Commons



Natalie, co-owner of DreamTyme All Stars and DreamTyme Dance Academy, has 22 years of experience in the Cheerleading, Dance and Gymnastics industry. Natalie is an IASF level 5 credentialed cheerleading coach, with an extensive background in sports science, psychology and teaching.

She has been coaching Cheerleading and All Star Dance since 2008 and has been a sports coach since 1998. 

Natalie, being a dedicated athlete, represented Australia at the International Cheer Union and IASF/USASF Cheer and Dance World Championships in 2011, and 2012, in Dance and Cheer respectively.

Since retiring as an athlete in 2013, Natalie has put all of her time and focus into her coaching. Some of her coaching achievements and highlights are below:

Natalie is also a qualified secondary school teacher having studied Applied Science - Physical Education at Victoria University and was awarded the ACHPER award for the most outstanding student in this course, she also studied her DipEd at The University of Melbourne, majoring in physical education, psychology and student wellbeing.

Liz Commons

Liz Commons



Liz has over 28 years of experience in Cheerleading, Dance and Gymnastics and is an IASF level 5 credentialed cheer coach. She has coached a variety of sports over the past 20 years, and has been coaching cheerleading for the last 15 years. 

Liz specialises in All Girl stunting and has coached successful State and National champion teams at both DreamTyme and a few other Melbourne clubs.

Liz was a part of Team Australia All Girl for 2011-2013, Captaining and Co-Captaining the squad and has won 2 silver and 1 bronze ICU World Championship medals. Liz also represented Australia twice in the ICU All Girl Group Stunt competition at the World Championships. In addition Liz has competed at the IASF Cheerleading Worlds twice, achieving top 10 results with her team each time.

Liz is a qualified and registered secondary school teacher. She studied Biomedical Science and a Diploma of Education at The University of Melbourne and teaches General Science and Chemistry.

Jay Sims

Jayden Sims



Jayden has been around the cheer and dance world his entire life, he began cheering competitively at the age of 12 and has been coaching since 2009. Jay is an IASF level 5 qualified instructor and has helped coach and run countless Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation (AASCF) events, camps and clinics. He spent 12 months training in the USA with Carolina All Stars and Greenville High School cheerleading. He competed with both teams, winning an NCA title with Carolina All Stars and a UCA National title with Greenville High School. Jay has competed at the Worlds Cheerleading Championships four times, three times with Australia and once with the USA. He has been a member of the Team Australia ICU Worlds Coed Level 5 team in 2009, 2010 and 2013. He is regarded as a coed cheerleading stunt specialist and has won multiple state and national titles in the co-ed stunt category.

Jay has also completed a tertiary course in Major Event Production at William Angliss to assist with running the AASCF events which comprise of 14 championships across Australia every year and ongoing athlete & scholastic clinics.

Shannon Sims



Shannon has coached since 2007 at various Melbourne cheer programs who have loved her enthusiasm and dedication. She is credentialed to IASF level 3. Shannon represented Australia at the very first ICU Worlds Championship in 2009. Competing in both the cheer and dance categories. She has won several state and national titles with her Mini (8yrs & under) squads.

Shannon is a specialist coach for children, coaching children aged 3-11 years. She has a  Bachelor of Early Childhood Education from Deakin University. She was also on staff as the children's coach specialist at the AASCF cheer camps from 2008-2012.


Paige Nash-Ferry

Paige Nash-Ferry


Paige has been dancing for the past 21 years. Her training includes extensive study in ballet including 2 years full time at the National Theatre Ballet School. She began Pom in 2011 and has since competed twice at the IASF Dance Worlds placing 2nd in 2013.


Jess Binion


Jess began cheerleading in 2011, and in 2012 she became a member of 'DreamGirls'. They competed at the ICU World Championships as Team Australia, winning a bronze medal in All Girl Elite, and placing in the top 10 at the IASF World Championships. She was a member of Australia's first level 6 team and continued on to be a part of the first Australian All Girl level 6 team to compete at the IASF World Championships in 2014, finishing in the top 10.
This is Jess' third year of coaching with DreamTyme. She is a level 5 USASF credentialed coach and enjoys working with athletes of all ages in both squad classes and Flex & Control classes.
Jess is currently studying a Bachelor of Primary Education (Honours) with Monash University.

Maddy White


Maddy has been cheerleading since 2009 and competed internationally for the first time in 2011 at Spirit Sports Duel in the Desert. In 2013 Maddy Competed at the ICU World Championship as apart of All Girl Team Australia earning a Silver medal, she also has competed twice at the USASF Cheerleading world Championships in 2013 placing 4th and 2015 placing 6th. Maddy has also spent 5 months with Gymtyme All Stars and the University of Louisville Cheerleading in Kentucky U.S.A where she worked with and learnt from previous world champions and world champion coaches. Maddy has been coaching at DreamTyme since 2013 and began competing with us in 2015.

Daz Inkster

Darin "Daz" Inkster


Darin “Daz” Inkster is an Elite Tumbling coach at DreamTyme All Stars.

He has won numerous Victorian, Australian and Pan-Pacific titles in gymnastics, tumbling and trampolining across his competition career representing Australia and receiving a scholarship to the A.I.S. (Australian Institute of Sport).

Daz has performed as an acrobat/dancer/character for 4 years with Cirque Du Soleil touring shows ‘Saltimbanco’ and 3 seasons with ‘Wintuk” resident show at Madison Square Gardens New York City.

His credits also include working with Danni Minogue, choreographing for singer Lucy White and complete works theatre company, performing at the Loreal Fashion Festival, Next Wave Festival and dancing with ‘Wicked Force’ Breakers.

Daz is Director of his personal training fitness company ‘Flipside Enterprise’ and has also performed as a stunt/actor on tv shows Mutant x, solstrum and feature film iFrankenstein where he was the movement coach and personal trainer to Lead U.S. actor Aaron Eckhart and Australian actor Mahesh Jadu.

Lauren Chisholm

Lauren Chisholm


Lauren has an extensive background in both Cheerleading, Gymnastics, Dance and Trampolining. She has competed at the IASF World Championships with the DreamGirls team in both Level 5 and Level 6. She was a member of the 2012 Team Australia All Girl ICU Worlds team and represented Team Australia in 2014 for All Girl Level 6 group stunt.

Sophie Briggs

Sophie began dancing at the age of 3 at the National Theatre Ballet School and went on to dance full time at Dance Factory, training in classical ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, hip hop and musical theatre. She began performing professionally at the age of 7 and has worked in corporate entertainment, television and musical theatre. Sophie has worked extensively in children’s entertainment, spending four years as a dancer, diver and aerialist with Tokyo Disney Resort, appearing as well known Disney characters. 


Sophie is a qualified Pilates instructor, personal trainer and dance teacher with a lifetime of experience performing and training in dance, Pilates, aerial skills, gymnastics and fitness. With over ten years dance teaching experience, Sophie has Certificates III & IV in Fitness, Certificate IV in Pilates and a Diploma of Studio and Rehabilitation Pilates. She has certifications in barre fitness, classical and fitness Pilates, and pre & post natal Pilates. She was one of the first certified In-Trinity instructors in Australia and has completed Lisa Howell’s Level 1 Dance Teacher & Therapist Training. 


Sophie is passionate about sharing the benefits of Pilates with young dancers and using her knowledge of both dance and fitness industries to teach dancers efficient movement and sound dance technique.

Ruby O'Leary



Ruby is a 17 year old student who is currently completing her final year of schooling in year 12. She has been doing cheerleading since 2011, with a past in gymnastics and gymnastics coaching.
This is Ruby's 4th year competing, and first year coaching at DreamTyme. This year with the International Open All Girl level 5 team. 

Tayla Clarkson


Tayla has been participating in competitive cheerleading since 2007 and will be spending her 10th competitive year competing on DreamTyme All Stars International all girl level 5 team. She is 16 years old, and currently completing year 10. This will be Tayla's second year coaching with DreamTyme



Sarah Anthony


Sarah has been participating in competitive cheerleading for over 13 years now. Sarah came to DreamTyme 5 years ago, and was apart of one of our very first competitive teams. Over her cheerleading career, she has successfully competed in every level of competition from level 1 through to elite level 6, being apart of our very own DreamTyme DreamGirls Internation open all girl Level 6 team in 2016. in 2011 she was selected to be a part of a team who were lucky enough to have the opportunity to compete Internationally at the 'Duel in the Desert' competition held in Palm Springs, California.
