WE ARE BACK!

After some technical difficulties, the Friday Blog is back too keep you updated with all the exciting things happening at DreamTyme!

 

WELCOME BACK TO TERM 4!

Term 4 is full of action, with so many incredible events happening over the coming weeks!

 

SPRING CARNIVAL COMPETITION

ALL TEAMS have been entered into this competition, as it is our final practice before Nationals! Please ensure that all athletes attend all training sessions in the lead up to competition, as it is vital to ensure the safety and success of our amazing teams.

Date: October 27-29

Location: State Basketball Centre, George Street Wantirna

Please keep an eye out in the coming weeks for information regarding competition days and times

 

ATHLETE ATTENDANCE

Full squad attendance from now until Nationals is ESSENTIAL. This is not only for the purpose of running routines full out, but also a matter of athlete safety. Training stunts, pyramids and intricate tumbling sequences require all athletes to be present so that coaches may fix any issues that arise. Please understand that athletes who miss practice may miss crucial changes to the routine. In some cases, this may mean that their place within a sequence will change. If you have any issues, please contact your coaches.

 

TUMBLE CLASSES

All competitive squad athlets have a tumble class included within their fee package. It is expected that all competitive athletes attend at least one tumble class per week, and are working towards gaining and perfecting level appropriate skills, and working towards elite level skills for the benefit of their routines. Tumble classes will also aid athletes in progressing to training skills of higher levels.

 

ATHLETE NUTRITION AND HYDRATION

It is vital that all athletes are bringing water bottles with them to training sessions in Term 4. We have already begun to experience warmer weather, and this wil continue as the term progresses. Please ensure that you/your athlete are well hydrated, not only during training but before AND afterwards. This will ensure optimal recovery for their bodies as the intensity of training sessions increases. 

 

SHOUT OUTS

Miss Sophie would like to give a shout out to the wonderful dancers in the Wednesday Junior Ballet/Technique class. These ladies have been working extremely hard on difficult (and sometimes boring!) technique concepts, and their focus and efforts are really showing in their outcomes! Well done!
